Sara always purchased the least expensive items she could find at the supermarket. This impressed her husband, who admired her frugality and was very pleased by the savings that resulted from her efforts.

“Good going, honey! It’s so smart to buy generic products rather than name brands. They’re always a lot more expensive.”

His satisfaction with his wife’s thriftiness ended abruptly one day while he was in the bathroom.

“Sara!” he bellowed, astride the porcelain throne, “This half-ply toilet paper just doesn’t cut it!”
